Times Table Rockstars is intended to help your child improve their recall of times tables facts – swift recall of these facts and the ability to recognise when they should be used is central to pupils achieving their full potential throughout their schooling and we hope you will encourage your child to make daily use of the online resources that are available with TTRockstars.
At St Mary’s, pupils will access TTRockstars online resources using their username and password (allocated to each child). In either paper form or online, Times Tables Rock Stars is a carefully sequenced programme of daily times tables practice. Each week concentrates on a different times table (suitable to each Year group), with a recommended consolidation week for rehearsing the tables that have recently been practiced every third week or so. This format has very successfully boosted times tables recall speed for hundreds of pupils over the last 4 years at King Solomon Academy, the school in which it was created. Now it is used in over 2500 schools – both primary and secondary – worldwide.
