The Walk of Faith
When our school was refurbished, colours, artwork and artefacts depicting the journey of Mary’s life were used. Our GIFT team take you on a journey in faith around our wonderful school building. Each class in our school has completed a Marian Walk of Faith this term. Watch the video below to find out more.
Year Six – Marian Walk
Our Year Six children were led by the GIFT team and Miss Dakin to walk the walk of faith themselves.
Our altars in school and RE displays
Each classroom and many of the open spaces in our school have displays around the liturgical year. Each class has their own altar, we have our crucifixion Calvary scene at our front entrance, the Peace Pole and various quotations from St Mother Teresa, Pope Francis and others around the school perimeter. We also have scripture quotes emblazoned on all communal areas of our school alongside artwork produced by our resident artist and our children. In addition, our library, meeting room and prayer room have additional focal points as well as on the KS2 corridor. Each class also decorates their own Mission Statement hoop each year with their understanding of what the Mission Statement is. Finally, we have a range of stained glass windows in school depicting Mary and Jesus.
