Each class in our school has a class saint who they pray to. These saints have been specifically chosen by our staff. Children complete work based on the saint and hold celebration days on their Saint’s day. If not possible (for example if it falls on a weekend or during holidays), an appropriate day is found on which to have a celebration.
EYFS – St Mary, 15th August – we repeat this because not all of our Reception children will have been at our nursery and is a good introduction to being within our school. With her feast day being in the Summer holidays, EYFS ensure they celebrate Mary as often as possible throughout the year.

2W – St Clare – 11th August
2D – St Francis of Assisi – 4th October – Celebrated on the 4th July
3B – St Jude – 28th October
3B brought a prayer card and talisman to every class on St Jude’s day.
3R – St Bernadette – 16th April
3R brought holy water and a card to every class
4M – St Patrick – 17th March
4M made clay shamrocks and brought an Irish Blessing to each class
4GB – St George – 23rd April
4GB created cards to take to each class on St George’s Day.
5H – St Christopher – July 25th
5T – St Cecelia – 22nd November, celebated during World Music Week in June
5T have been learning songs to share with each class on World Music Day on behalf of their devotion to St Cecelia.
